OUr focus is teaching new skills: language, communication, and independence.

All services at Village Autism Center are based in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) nestled within a developmental framework. To create a positive therapeutic environment, we focus on building a relationship with each child we work with. Creating a solid foundation of trust and sense of fun is our initial goal with all children.  

Although we are a comprehensive treatment provider, our focus and expertise is in the area of skill acquisition or skill building. That means we work on teaching your child (and you) new skills, usually related to the core deficits of autism: social interaction and communication.

Common goals and service requests include:

1. Functional communication
2. Developing vocal language
3. Increasing social skills and conversational skills 
4. Pre-academic skills and school readiness
5. Assessment and treatment of mild behavioral issues that impact learning 
6. Toilet Training 
7. Parent Training
8. Workshops and presentations for early education care providers (DECAL approved)
9. Workshops and training for community service agencies 
10. Telehealth consultation (in state and international)
    
                                      We work with children age 18 months to 18 years old.
